Top Model (originally Miss Top Model UK) was founded in 2007 and started life as a small model search with just 16 participants. Top Model has since grown to be the NO.1 genuine Model Experience & Fashion Event in the UK and has licenced events in Australia, South Africa, Latvia and Estonia, with more being added.
Top Model has launched careers and helped make many of its participants dreams come true, while all the time having charity at the heart of its ethos. Professional coaching, working with designers, being mentored by industry professionals, make-up and hair on show day, and runway images from the show are ALL INCLUDED with participation.
Top Model has raised over £300,000 for projects across the UK since 2010, and in 2019 launched The Sophie Foundation (The Top Model Foundation 1184463) non-profit charity, meaning that even more funds go to supporting and highlighting Mental Health Awareness and Suicide Prevention in young people across the UK.

In 2017, the Top Model family and the model world was struck with tragedy when our model coach, former finalist and dear friend Sophie Fraser-Smith was taken from us in a tragic road accident at the age of just 21. The Top Model ‘Sophie Fraser-Smith Pride & Inspiration Award’ is now presented annually in memory of how she inspired us all to be better people, to be kind to those less fortunate and to take care of our environment. Our charitable foundation is also now named in her honour.
